Whatnot is excited to announce the launch of our new Rewards Club, a gradual rollout designed to enhance the buying and selling experience for all users. This loyalty program aims to simplify transactions, track interactions, and offer fun rewards and recognition.

What is Rewards Club?

Rewards Club is an achievement-based loyalty program benefiting both buyers and sellers. It helps sellers grow their businesses while tracking buyer interactions and delivering rewards. The program is always active, easy to enter, and encourages deeper connections between buyers and sellers, driving incremental purchases.

Customizable for Sellers

Every seller’s business is unique, and the Rewards Club is designed to be flexible, adapting to each seller's specific needs. Sellers can customize their loyalty program to fit their community and business goals.

Program Structure

The Rewards Club features five tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Each tier requires a set number of achievements to unlock, which are determined by the seller. Achievements can include the number of shows watched, purchases made, or the amount spent.

Rewards and Benefits

Members can earn various rewards and benefits by unlocking tiers, including status badges, coupons (dollar-based, percentage-based, free shipping), and access to tier-only shows. Membership into the program is automatic upon completing achievements.

Seasonal Resets

Rewards Club programs reset every three months, giving sellers the chance to refine and improve their offerings. The seasonal schedule is as follows:

  • Winter: December, January, February
  • Spring: March, April, May
  • Summer: June, July, August
  • Fall: September, October, November

Why It’s Customizable

Rewards Club is designed to adapt to the diverse needs of different sellers. Each seller can set thresholds for achievements and choose the rewards that best align with their business strategies.

Managing Tiers and Achievements

Achievements are tasks set by the seller that buyers must complete to unlock tiers. Sellers can start their program at any time during a season, and at the end of each season, they can adjust the program as needed.

Beta Testing and Launch

The beta test for Rewards Club runs until August 31, with the official launch of Season 1 beginning on September 1. During beta testing, sellers can edit their tiers and cancel their program by contacting their Account Manager or Whatnot Support.

Seller Requirements

To participate, sellers must:

  • Have processed 50 or more non-giveaway orders
  • Have earned over $1,000 on Whatnot
  • Have been a seller for 30 days or longer
  • Have a seller rating of 4.8 or higher
  • Not be on a second offense in any violation category

For Buyers

Joining a seller’s Rewards Club is automatic upon making a purchase. Coupons and rewards can be easily managed through the Rewards Club overview page. It’s important to note that purchases made using coupons are final.

Tracking Achievements

The total amount spent, including taxes and shipping fees, counts towards achievements. However, discounts applied via coupons do not count towards the spending achievements.

Privacy and Visibility

Members can choose to display or hide their Rewards Badges during live shows, ensuring privacy preferences are respected.
