Hockey cards are back at Tim Hortons, and this time, they’re going back in time.

In collaboration with Upper Deck, Tim Hortons has just released the 2024-25 Retrospective Rookies hockey card set, a 100-card collection that highlights stars of the past and present during their rookie seasons. Available exclusively at participating Tim Hortons locations in Canada, the set blends nostalgia and modern flair by showcasing NHL legends, current stars, and standout athletes from the Professional Women’s Hockey League.

Despite the name, this release isn’t focused solely on current first-year players. Instead, it leans into the “retrospective” concept by revisiting players’ early career moments. Fans can collect the cards in a specially made binder sold separately in stores.

The set also features six insert subsets, including Initial Strides, In the Books, Celebrated Prodigies, and Take a Bow—all designed to complement the rookie-year theme.

Autographs are back as well, but as always, they’re tough to come by. The Debut Autographs insert includes 16 different signers and falls at a rate of just 1 in 7,200 packs. For those chasing ultra-rarity, Sidney Crosby’s Debut Season Autograph is limited to just 75 copies, while Nathan MacKinnon’s is even scarcer, capped at only 25.

Packs are priced at $1.50 CAD with a drink purchase, or $1.99 on their own. While the promotion is limited to Canadian Tim Hortons locations, the cards and collector albums are already making their way to resale platforms like eBay, giving collectors outside Canada a shot at landing them.
