Topps Finest Basketball is back for its second straight year following a long absence from the hobby, and the 2024-25 edition delivers plenty of retro appeal mixed with modern flair. Just like in the brand’s 1990s heyday, the tiered base structure returns, along with a rainbow of Refractor parallels and some big-name autographs.

Each hobby box has six packs of 10 cards, with two autographs guaranteed.

Set Overview

The base checklist includes 300 total cards, split into three 100-card tiers:

  • Common (#1–100)

  • Uncommon (#101–200)

  • Rare (#201–300)

Veterans, rookies, and legends are all represented, with 60 rookie cards spread across the tiers. Each section has its own run of parallels, with over 20 color and pattern variations available. Breakers Delight boxes add another wrinkle, offering seven exclusive Geometric Refractors.

Inserts

Five familiar insert sets carry over from last year, paying homage to designs and subsets from classic Finest releases in 1996–97 and 1997–98:

  • Arrivals (30 cards) – 1:4 packs

  • Debut (30 cards) – 1:4 packs

  • Showstoppers (30 cards) – 1:4 packs

  • Finishers (10 cards) – 1:11 packs

  • Centurions (20 cards) – 1:54 packs

All inserts also feature multiple Refractor parallels. Collectors will also be chasing the short-printed The Man inserts, which fall just 1 in every 480 hobby packs.

Autographs

Autograph content spans current stars, rising rookies, and retired legends.

  • Finest Autographs and Finest Rookie Autographs are the core sets, both with 13 Refractor parallels.

  • Flashback Autographs and Masters Autographs bring retro styling with the same parallel lineup.

  • Breakers Delight boxes exclusively include Electrifying Signatures and Colossal Shots, which also carry seven Geometric Refractor versions.
