In an exclusive showcase of vintage sports cards, Memory Lane's latest Premier Auction presents a concise yet incredibly potent selection of 120 lots. This auction, which spans a two-week period, is noted for its impressive roster of highly recognizable and top-graded cards available in the online catalog.

A major highlight of the auction is one of only two NM/MT graded 1909 T204 Ramly Walter Johnson rookie cards, a PSA 8 example that swiftly surpassed the six-figure mark following the auction's commencement. Also drawing significant interest is one of the mere three T206 Ty Cobb Portrait (Green) cards graded PSA 7. Adding to the allure is a PSA 6 graded Cobb ‘Bat Off Shoulder’ Old Mill back, one of the highest-rated examples of its kind.

The pre-war card segment boasts other remarkable pieces, including a T206 Cy Young card graded PSA 7 and a T206 Nap Lajoie (Throwing) card, the latter being the highest graded example with a PSA 9 rating.

Crossing into the realm of six-figure bids is a PSA 9 graded 1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle card, one of only 13 at this grade level with just two known higher examples. A similar card was sold in April 2022 for an astounding $540,000.

The auction also features six other 1950s Mantle cards, all graded either 8 or 9, including those from the 1953 Topps and Bowman series.

Roberto Clemente cards have a strong presence in this sale, covering years from 1956 to 1973 and featuring several Mint 9 graded cards, more than any other player in the auction.

Willie Mays cards are also well-represented, including a rare 1962 Topps card graded PSA 9 and a PSA 10 graded 1970 Topps card, one of only two in existence.

Four Jackie Robinson cards are up for auction, showcasing PSA graded versions of his 1949 Bowman and 1952 Topps issues.

The auction extends beyond baseball, featuring PSA 10 rookie cards of baseball legends George Brett and Rickey Henderson.

In the realm of football, high-grade rookie cards include those of Frank Gifford, Johnny Unitas, and Joe Namath.

Basketball card collectors can look forward to rookie cards of post-war icons, such as Bill Russell (PSA 7), Wilt Chamberlain (PSA 8), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (PSA 8), Larry Bird/Magic Johnson (PSA 9), and Michael Jordan (PSA 8).

This remarkable auction, offering a chance to own a piece of sports history, is available for bidding through February 4th on Memory Lane’s website.
