Topps added some serious fuel to the Disney collecting scene after landing the Disney, Marvel, and Pixar trading card license in September 2024. The company has dabbled in these worlds for decades in both paper and digital form, going back to classics like the 1977 Star Wars set, but the new deal opened the door for a full Chrome run and now a Sapphire follow up.

Building on the 200 card 2025 Disney Chrome checklist, 2025 Topps Chrome Disney Sapphire arrived on October 22 with a premium finish and a tight box configuration that keeps the rip quick and punchy. Each box has eight packs, each pack has four cards. Collectors who opened the 2024 Sapphire release will recognize the cadence of numbered parallels, with Red Sapphire cards limited to five and Gold parallels capped at 50.

The checklist sticks to 200 cards and leans on heavy hitters that Topps teased before launch, including Mickey Mouse, Lightning McQueen, Moana, and Miss Piggy. The Sapphire palette is the star, but there are plenty of chase hooks baked in. Red Sapphire and Pink Sapphire versions of favorite characters return, limited inserts pop up throughout, and there are authentic autographs for those aiming high. Cinderella 75th Anniversary cards bring a celebratory angle, and there is one Blue Sapphire seeded in every eight boxes for an extra bit of surprise.

A crossover mini set brings Disney into MLB clubhouses with the Mickey and Friends MLB Home Jersey cards. Topps’ preview shows Mickey on the mound for the Seattle Mariners, which sets the tone. Half the fun will be seeing which character lines up with which team as you work through packs.
