Baseball card collectors and prospect chasers will soon have a new set to add to their radar. Later this month, Panini is set to release its first-ever "Prospect Edition" baseball card set, featuring some of the game’s most exciting young talents, including Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon, and Chase Burns.

What’s Inside the Prospect Edition Hobby Box?

Panini’s Prospect Edition hobby box, currently listed as “coming soon” on Panini.com, offers:

  • Six packs per box
  • Eight cards per pack
  • Six autographs per box (on average)
  • 18 parallels per box (on average)

While Panini has yet to officially announce the price or release date, a listing on Blowout Cards suggests a February 28 launch. Blowout Cards is currently pricing single hobby boxes at $150, while full 20-box cases are listed at $3,000. It's worth noting that retailer prices tend to be slightly higher than those on Panini’s official site.

Major Chase: Paul Skenes & Dylan Crews Dual Auto

Though Panini has not yet released the full checklist, preview images confirm that the set will feature a dual autograph chase card of Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews, the No. 1 and No. 2 picks from the 2023 MLB Draft. With Skenes and Crews both projected to be top-tier rookies, this dual-auto card could become one of the most sought-after pulls from the set.

What’s Next?

Collectors can expect more details, including a full checklist and additional previews, as the release date approaches. If you’re looking to grab one of the first-ever Panini Prospect Edition boxes, keep an eye on Panini’s official website and major retailers before the anticipated February 28 launch.
