On June 10, 2024, from Modena, Italy, Panini unveiled a comprehensive multi-year collaboration with Jannik Sinner, marking a significant milestone as Sinner becomes the first Italian tennis player to achieve the No. 1 spot in the ATP world rankings. This partnership includes a diverse range of collectibles, from trading cards and autographed memorabilia to game gear and digital collections, celebrating Sinner's illustrious career.
The collaboration between Panini and Sinner began in 2022 with the publication of "Piccoli grandi campioni – Manuale illustrato del tennis di Jannik Sinner" (Young Great Champions – Jannik Sinner’s Illustrated Tennis Manual) by Panini Comics. This book provides insights into tennis techniques and shares anecdotes from Sinner's early days in the sport. Another highlight of this partnership was the feature of Sinner in a playful "duckified" avatar as "Quacknik Spinner" on the cover of Topolino magazine, issued by Panini Comics in May 2024.
Reflecting on the partnership, Sinner expressed his delight, reminiscing about his childhood days collecting Panini stickers and reading their comics. He expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to connect with his fans in a unique and personal way through Panini's products.
The first product release under this partnership will be a Panini Instant trading card, celebrating Sinner’s ascent to the top of the ATP rankings. This card will be available exclusively on the Panini America platform. Following this, Panini plans to launch a series of trading card collections dedicated to Sinner, which will include rare memorabilia and limited-edition cards, accessible globally via Panini’s e-commerce network and select retail outlets.
This announcement sets the stage for an expansive range of releases planned for 2024 and beyond, as part of the ongoing partnership between Panini and Jannik Sinner.
