Panini is back with Origins Football for 2025, a set that blends the NFL’s newest rookies with familiar veterans and retired legends. Known for its artistic flair and dramatic card designs, this release lands just before the new season kicks off, making it a highlight for collectors eager to dive in.

Hobby boxes are designed to deliver big, packing in a rookie jersey autograph, another autograph, and a memorabilia card. Hobby-exclusive formats also keep the chase alive with unique hits that can’t be found elsewhere.

The base design once again leans into the abstract, showcasing bold, colorful backgrounds that have become a signature of the brand. Each hobby box comes with two parallels, while international blaster boxes also include parallels plus select Holo versions that focus on rookies.

Autographs are a major draw, especially in hobby boxes. Collectors can find base autographs and parallels alongside creative themes like Dual and Triple Autographs, Star Signatures, and Hometown Inscriptions, which highlight players’ home states. One of the biggest storylines is the launch of the Patrick Mahomes Autograph Collection, beginning with a limited card celebrating Kansas City’s 2024 AFC Championship Game win. These will slowly roll out across Panini’s 2025 products.

Memorabilia cards continue to anchor Origins as well. Expect several booklet-style cards and themed sets like Rise to the Hall and International Origin, which pair player imagery with their home country’s flag and birthplace.

Inserts add another layer of appeal. While hobby boxes feature cards such as Primordal, In The Beginning, and the minimalistic Blank Slate, international blasters lean heavily on inserts with rookie-driven sets like Start Up, Original Gridiron, Big Bang, and Fons Et Origio, which translates to “source and origin.”
