On June 10, 2024, in Boston, Reebok and Panini America proudly announced the release of their latest collaborative effort—a unique collection celebrating Emmitt Smith, featuring specialized sneakers and sports cards. This collaboration follows their successful first venture, blending iconic footwear with the collectible allure of trading cards, highlighted by the popular Prizm brand. The lineup includes updated versions of the "Preseason '94" and Smith's own "ES22," along with a "Preseason" apparel range priced between $40 and $80.

The partnership between Emmitt Smith and Reebok began in 1993, with Smith endorsing the brand's "Preseason" line of turf shoes. His own signature model, the ES22, was launched in 1996, characterized by its innovative design suited to Smith's athletic prowess. In 2009, Smith's association extended to Panini America, coinciding with the launch of the now-celebrated "Prizm" sports card brand in 2012, known for its shiny opti-chrome finish and collectible inserts.

The collection features three distinct sneaker designs that incorporate elements from the Prizm card series:

• Preseason '94 Low "Purple Prizm": This adaptation sports a purple, white, and black design with a leather upper and Prizm-themed details, available for $120.
• Preseason '94 "Gold Prizm": Featuring a striking gold color scheme, this model comes with premium enhancements reflecting Panini’s Gold Prizm cards, offered at $140.
• ES22 "Color Blast": At $200, this white, patent leather version boasts a colorful midsole and Prizm detailing, inspired by Panini's exclusive "Color Blast" cards.

Additionally, each purchase of the "ES22 Color Blast" model will include a special edition Emmitt Smith trading card by Panini x Reebok, featuring designs from Smith's illustrious career along with a variety of rare card parallels.

This unique "Reebok x Panini Prizm Preseason" collection, melding sports heritage with modern collectibility, will be accessible globally from June 14, 2024, at Reebok.com and selected retailers. This release follows the notable success of their initial collaboration with basketball star Allen Iverson in 2022.
