In the new Buy Now marketplace, fees for listings sold for less than $120 will be just 6%, one of the lowest rates in the industry. This new fee structure replaces the previous 20% buyer’s premium and bonus commission fees. Sellers will continue to earn the same amount on sales of $120 or more as they did under the previous fixed-price model.
Under the new fee structure, sellers will earn up to 94% of the listing price on sales under $119.99, compared to a maximum of 85% under the old model. This change means more money in the pockets of sellers, making it more profitable to sell lower-priced items.
All currently listed items will keep their existing prices but will automatically switch to the new fee structure. This adjustment ensures that sellers immediately benefit from the lower fees without needing to take any action.
The Buy Now marketplace has been redesigned based on feedback from collectors and sellers, focusing on improving the discoverability of cards, reducing the time required to list items for sale, and simplifying the fee structure. With the removal of the 20% buyer’s premium and bonus commission, sellers can now create more competitively priced listings, leading to a more diverse and higher-quality selection for buyers.
To maintain a fair and competitive marketplace, listings priced more than 20% above fair market value will incur a 15% seller’s fee instead of the standard 6% fee. Additionally, the $3 minimum fee for Buy Now sales has been removed, allowing sellers to list items for as little as 50 cents.
When collectors purchase from the Buy Now marketplace on the Fanatics Collect app, they pay immediately, allowing sellers to receive their payments quicker and buyers to add to their collections sooner.
Sellers who prefer not to sell under the new fee structure can delist their items at any time. For assistance, sellers can contact their sales representative or the Collector Experience team.
