Fanatics Collectibles is shaking up the hobby again—this time, with a rewards-based twist that could put real money in collectors' hands.
Announced at the Topps Industry Conference in Atlanta, CEO Mike Mahan introduced the Bowman Red Rookie Redemption program, a groundbreaking feature set to debut with 2025 Bowman Baseball on May 7. At the heart of the promotion is a brand-new red “RC” logo, stamped on limited-edition rookie cards randomly inserted into Bowman packs.
Here’s where it gets interesting: If the featured rookie goes on to win Rookie of the Year, the card can be redeemed for $100 in Fanatics FanCash. Collectors will have until March 31, 2026, to make the redemption once award winners are announced in November.
But Fanatics isn’t stopping there. The Red Rookie cards act like performance-based lottery tickets—the better the player’s career, the more that card could be worth. If the same player eventually wins an MVP or Cy Young award, the redemption jumps to $300. If they rack up two of those awards, it climbs to $500. Three? That bumps it to $700. And if they make the Hall of Fame within 10 years of retiring, the collector holding that card is looking at a $1,000 FanCash windfall.
And yes, if a rookie pulls off a Rookie of the Year and an MVP or Cy Young in the same season, that card is instantly worth $400 in FanCash.
One of the first names included in this new chase? Dylan Crews. His Red Rookie card will be part of the upcoming Bowman set, making it an instant target for prospect chasers and reward seekers alike.
This isn’t just a collectible—it’s a game within the game. For more details on how it works, Fanatics has a dedicated hub at fanaticscollect.com/red-rookie-redemption.
