A rare Bowman Chrome Tom Brady 1/1 Superfractor baseball card, released by Topps on December 12, quickly found its way to the market after a collector pulled it from a pack of 2023 Bowman Chrome cards. This unique card, consigned to Goldin Co., is currently up for bid in a stand-alone auction. The card captures a young Tom Brady in a Montreal Expos uniform, the team that drafted him in the 1995 MLB Draft.
The 2023 Bowman Chrome set, which includes 81 Brady cards, features a range of autograph cards and Refractors, such as a 1/1 Superfractor and a 1/1 autographed Superfractor. Topps celebrated the launch with videos of Brady alongside baseball greats like Pedro Martinez, Vlad Guerrero Sr., and Larry Walker. The 1/1 Superfractors are highly sought after, especially for collectors of NFL legend and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.
Ken Goldin, founder and CEO of Goldin, highlighted the rarity and value of the Superfractor, calling it "one in a million" and essential for any Brady collector. Goldin estimates the autographed card could fetch more than $250,000 at auction. This special Tom Brady rookie card, a true 1-of-1, remains open for bids until January 13.
