Clear Cut returns for the 2024-25 season with a product that stays true to its name: bold, clear acetate cards and hard-signed autographs throughout the checklist. With just one card in every hobby box, each break is quick but carries plenty of risk and reward.
The base set pulls its design from the year’s flagship Upper Deck Hockey release. Every card is signed on-card, split across veterans, rookies, and all-time greats. Veterans fall about once every six boxes, rookies one in four, and greats at roughly one in 75. Parallels mirror flagship styles as well, with Outburst (/25), High Gloss (/10), and one-of-one Gold Outburst versions.
Canvas Signatures also carry over, landing once in every 13 packs. Red Ink parallels match the player’s jersey number, while Gold Ink versions are true one-of-ones. Canvas Rookie Debuts are the only cards in Clear Cut that don’t come autographed, but boxes with them also include a redemption for a signed card, giving collectors a two-card break. Rookie Debut Signatures are numbered to 25 copies each with one Gold Ink parallel per player.
Several new insert lines make their first appearance. Crystalline Stars Autos add a bolder look to the acetate format, with base versions at 1:20 packs and Red (/35), Blue (/10), and Gold (1/1) parallels. Upper Deck Vintage Autos are another new addition, blending modern production with old-school design, with odds of 1:16 packs for base, 1:11 for rookies, and 1:120 for legends.
Collectors will also find several retro-inspired autograph sets, including 1997-98 Collector’s Choice Starquest Autographs, 1999-00 Ice Gallery Autos, 2000-01 SPx Xcitement Autos, and 2000-01 SP Authentic Power Skaters Autos.
