Select has carved out its own niche in the sports card hobby thanks to its chromium finish, deep checklists, and tiered base sets. The Premier League is back under the Select spotlight for the 2024-25 season, with a release that blends the familiar with some exciting chase elements.
At first glance, a 250-card base set looks straightforward. But Select’s approach makes it unique. Instead of one continuous checklist, the base is broken into three distinct tiers. Terrace cards are the most common, Mezzanine raises the rarity, and Field Level is the toughest of the trio. Each tier carries its own design, giving the base set extra depth and variety.
On top of that, parallels flood the product in true chrome fashion. Hobby boxes are loaded with 14 total parallels, nine of which are serial numbered. Collectors can chase everything from standard Silvers to short prints like Honeycomb and Tessellation, the latter limited to just 15 copies. Tie-Dye (/25), Gold (/10), and Black one-of-ones round out the rainbow for those after the toughest pulls.
Autographs and relics are a staple in Select, and the Premier League edition keeps that tradition alive. The Signatures line covers a wide range of stars, while Autographed Memorabilia pairs ink with swatches from match-worn kits. The memorabilia lineup on its own is also strong, with Select Memorabilia delivering more relic options for player collectors.
Inserts are another area where Select shines. Common sets include Equalizers, Select Future, Snapshots, and Unstoppable, each offering a different way to celebrate players and moments. Case hits bring even more intrigue. Four different short print inserts are seeded at one per case: Artistic Impressions, Stained Glass, Team Badges, and Visionary. These rare designs have quickly become some of the most desirable cards in the product, rivaling parallels for collector attention.
Each hobby box contains 12 packs with 5 cards in each. Inside, collectors can expect three total autographs and memorabilia cards, seven inserts, and 14 parallels. Cases hold 12 boxes, making for a solid spread of hits and color in every sealed case.
The official release date is set for May 22, 2025. As with other Select products, it will be available across multiple configurations, including Hobby and retail options such as Mega boxes.
The 250-card checklist covers every club in the Premier League, blending current stars, legends, and young talent. Terrace cards run from #1 through #100, Mezzanine spans #101 through #200, and Field Level closes things out with #201 through #250.
